Children’s Play Program Business Plan

Children

Bees’#8217, Circus is a program for children that combines music and play. The program offers a range of programs for parents and children that focus on the development of their children’s physical, emotional, social and mental health. We offer eight different weekly classes for children newborn through four years. These activities help children develop balance, coordination, and other sensory stimuli. They also reinforce good social skills through group play. Bees&#8217, Circus also offers music class. Children from 16 months to 4 years old will be able to sing and dance while learning new rhythms and musical beats. Each week, new musical styles will be introduced, such as jazz, contemporary, and classical tunes. Activities such as instrument exploration, songs and movement to music are designed to provide a positive musical experience for both parents and young children.

Bees’ Circus offers a unique service in that there is no other program like it in the city of Monroe. Though the city does run some classes for children through their parks and recreation department, they are not part of a comprehensive growth program for pre-schoolers.

Bees’ Circus is centrally located in the new commercial center that serves the affluent northwest area of Monroe. The city’s northwest has experienced tremendous housing growth over the last five-years. To support the rapid growth of the population, more than 3,500 housing units have been constructed in the region. These units are mainly being rented out or purchased by young families. The area does not have a park program. In the next three-years, it is expected that a park will be established to serve approximately 10,000 residents.

Barbara Miller, coowner at Bees&#8217s Circus, is an educator who has worked for over 20 years. Her involvement in the development and implementation of Monroe&#8217’s preschool programs has been invaluable. Bees&#8217′ Circus is her way of offering parents and children a safe place to play and spend time together.

1.1 Mission

Bees&#8217′ Circus mission is to encourage the social, emotional, and physical development of children. Bees&#8217’s Circus activities include the participation of parents.

When parents enter their child’s world of play and imagination, the child blossoms with more confidence to explore and learn. Spending time with mom and dad can lead to healthy emotional development as well as trust between the parents and their child.

1.2 Objectives

The following are the goals of Bees&#8217′ Circus:

  • Fill classes up to 70% capacity by the end of the first year.
  • Maintain at least 50% of children who move between levels.
  • In the second year of operation, the class participation rate will increase by 15%.
