The Market

A few years back, the only source for cycling information was the local bicycle shop or the printed magazine. Many sites dedicated to cycling are now online magazines. Write Bike will sell their articles either to the print magazines or the online magazines. The consolidation of publishing has seen many magazines merge into larger units. Staff writers are also being let go. Write Bike is able to create demand for freelance content because of this. Print and online magazines are the two main target markets. There are 350 potential customers for each of these products, which is 250 and 100, respectively. These two customer segments are growing at 2% & 8% respectively.
